VENNFAST didn't start with a business plan. It started with a bad cooling mat.

Like a lot of pet parents, I bought one of those gel pads off a marketplace — cheapest option, best reviews. It showed up with a faint chemical smell, my dog sniffed it once and walked away, and within weeks the gel had bunched into useless lumps. I remember thinking: how is this the best we can do for the ones who give us everything?

That question turned into an obsession. I went looking for who actually does comfort well — and kept landing in the same place: the North. Scandinavian design has a quiet genius for living with extreme temperatures and making it feel effortless. Nothing wasteful, nothing loud — just things that work and last. (It's where our name comes from, too: in Norwegian, venn means "friend.")

So we built VENNFAST around two things most cooling mats ignore: it has to actually work, and it has to be safe enough to sleep on every single night. Our "cooling silk" gel draws heat away the moment they lie down — no water, no power, no fridge. The fill is non-toxic. And we refused to make something you'd want to hide in a corner — it's designed to belong in your home, not clash with it.

We're a small team answering to a stricter boss than any investor: the dog sprawled across the kitchen floor, the cat hunting for the one cool tile in the house. If it isn't good enough for ours, it doesn't get sold to yours.

That's the whole idea — no gimmicks, no toxic shortcuts. Just calm, cool comfort, made the way people who live with the cold would make it.
